We are a multidisciplinary team performing research on the interaction between robots and humans. We are housed in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and many of our team members are majoring in computer science or software engineering. We welcome the participation of individuals with skills in fields such as psychology, sociology, communication, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and mechanical engineering.

How to Get Involved

A good first step is to participate in a current study to see what our experiments look like. Most of our studies take place in Butler Hall and involve interacting with one of our robots.
If you are interested in joining the lab, please contact the lab to schedule a meeting to get more information about the STaRS lab and our current research.
